Frank Vannerom holds a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Sciences as a Graphic Engineer from Artesis Hogeschool Antwerpen in Turnhout. He has been with the National Bank of Belgium since February 1994, bringing over 32 years of experience in the field of banknote production and analysis. Over the course of his career, he has held several key positions, including First Printer, Head Conductor, and Printing Supervisor, working across multiple printing techniques such as offset, screen, foil, intaglio, and varnish. Since January 2020, he has been serving as Senior Currency Analyst Expert within the Currency Expertise Center, following the closure of the Printing Works, where he also contributes as an R&D expert.
Frank has led teams and managed complex printing operations, particularly in the production of euro banknotes. His responsibilities have included overseeing machine operations, ensuring compliance with ISO and OHSAS standards for quality and security, supervising the full printing process from setup to final delivery, and maintaining clear communication between technical teams and management. In addition, he is an active member of the RRC Users group and contributes to the Banknote Materials Committee, reflecting his ongoing involvement in industry collaboration and innovation.
