Code of Ethics for Postage Stamps Security Printers
Postage stamp security printers play an important role in the stamp production chain.
In view of the increasing number of postage stamps illegally printed, issued and sold by stamp dealers and printers of unreliable or doubtful reputation, the philatelic industry has adopted a Code of Ethics for Postage Stamp Security Printers.
Intergraf is a constituent partner of the World Association for the Development of Philately (WADP), an industry group within the Universal Postal Union (UPU), which recommended that a Code of Ethics for Postage Stamp Security Printers be established.
Postage stamp security printers worldwide who want to be recognised as such are required to agree to this Code of Ethics for Postage Stamp Security Printers.
All the signatories of the Code of Ethics for Postage Stamp Security Printers commit to apply for certification as a security printer according to ISO 14298 Management of Security Printing Processes within a period of six months of signing of this code.
Procedure
To become a signatory of the Code of Ethics for the Postage Stamp Security Printers, please contact certification@intergraf.eu for further information.
After signing the Code of Ethics you will have 12 months to get ISO 14298 certified according to the Intergraf Certification Requirements.
During this period your company will stay advertised on www.intergrafconference.org.
As long as your company remains certified against ISO 14298 and as long as it is not acting against the rules of the Code of Ethics for the Postage Stamps Security Printers, it will remain advertised on that page.
