Natschja (Nat) Ratanaprayul is Technical Officer in the Digital Health and Innovations Department at the World Health Organization (WHO), in Geneva. She is responsible for coordinating the SMART Guidelines work with internal and external partners at WHO.
As part of the pandemic response, Nat is also coordinating the work related to publishing guidance on Digital Documentation of COVID-19 Certificates.
Prior to joining WHO, Nat worked in strategy consulting across multiple sectors, including health and public service, financial services, products, and others. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Bachelor of Sciences in Business Administration, both from the University of California, Berkeley; and holds a Master of Science in Public Health in International Health, Health Systems from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Vaccination certificates are a key factor in re-establishing social life and the recovery of international travel. Internationally, two sets of specifications are widely used - the EU’s DCC and ICAO’s VDS-NC, both based on WHO-defined foundations. After two years of the pandemic, this panel will discuss the current state of play and the benefits, risks and future of digital health proofs.
