Project DNI 4.0 reflects the Spanish Government’s will to update the electronic National ID Card to comply with the EU Regulation 2019/1157. With new security features incorporated in the polycarbonate support and a new design, it implies physical as well as electronic changes, in order to meet all the technical and functional requirements of the EU Regulation on new identity cards.
