Europol, officially the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation, is the law enforcement agency of the European Union. Established in 1999, it is based in The Hague, Netherlands.
Europol’s mission is to support its Member States in preventing and combating all forms of serious international and organised crime, cybercrime and terrorism. Europol ensures an efficient and effective response to criminal threats by acting as the principal information hub, delivering agile operational support and providing European policing solutions in conjunction with a network of partners.
