R Rajeshkumar is the Singapore representative to ISO SC17/WG3 and is the Chair of WG3/TF5. He is the current editor of Doc 9303 - part 12 (Public Key Infrastructure for MRTDs) and the Digital Travel Credentials (DTC) specifications.
He is an active participant in ICAO’s New Technologies Working Group (NTWG) and Implementation and Capacity Building Working Group (ICBWG), and a member of the ICBWG sub-group examining non-compliant travel documents, which focuses on issues related to ePassports and/or the digital PKI certificates associated with ePassports.
Rajeshkumar is the Chief Executive of Auctorizium Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based company specialising in solutions for ePassport PKI and the validation of ePassports.The chip in the e-Passport was intended as a security feature in travel documents with the promise of increased trust in their authenticity. Are there attempts to use the chip to perpetuate fraud? This presentation covers some observed fraud patterns associated with the chip in the ePassport and the detection of such frauds through proper validation of the chip contents.
