Francisco Javier Benítez started his career in 2004 as Technician working on simulators in a ship manoeuvring unit.
In 2008, he joined Spain’s Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda as Inspector of Maritime Safety and is responsible for the coordination, supervision, and control of professional qualification management services, training and certification.
Francisco Javier comes from a diverse academic background, with a degree in Maritime Transport from the University of Cadiz, Spain, and a postgraduate degree in Maritime Law from Comillas Pontifical University, Spain.
