Jose M. Deza started his career 20 years ago as a Software Engineer, developing embedded operating systems for smart cards. He is currently responsible for customer service and software support at the production plant of ID documents and cards, within the Department of Identification Documents of the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre‐Real Casa de la Moneda (FNMT‐RCM).
Jose participated in a number of projects related to the development of Spanish identification documents such as eIDs, passports, residence permits and payment cards, and of other technological products and services.
Jose has a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain.

The presentation will explain the purpose of the Seafarers Identity Card, and show how the document will be issued and deployed in Spain.
