Kalin Nicolov has over 20 years’ experience in innovation and the digital as a dimension, working on the intersection of technology and business.
An active contributor to the Linux movement, Kalin delivered early machine-to-machine and value-added mobile solutions for Vodafone and Telefonica in the 1990s. In the early 2000s, he led award-winning innovation projects in civil aviation, including shared bag-drop, paperless boarding, connected aircraft (eAircraft), smart baggage (including the evolution of Passenger Name Record systems). He then worked on distributed ledger technology (DLT) for Accenture and Deloitte Digital from 2014, with with particular attention to ecosystem governance, business models and resilience.
Kalin joined SICPA in 2017 to develop security for digital societal systems, with a focus on currency and identity.
