Helena Tejero joined the Banco de España in 2006 to lead the implementation of the Operational Risk Management System throughout the bank and, later, in the European System of Central Banks (ESCB).
At the end of 2014, she became Director of the Cash and Issue Department, and represents the Banco de España in the Banknotes Committee (BANCO) of the European System of Central Banks (ESCB) and the Coin Commission at the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre - Real Casa de la Moneda (FNMT-RCM).
Helena taught a master’s degree in Public Management and has over 35 years of experience working and / or practicing as a consultant in the financial sector, both nationally and internationally. She holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, Madrid, and a master's degree in Financial and Stock Management from the Universidad de Barcelona, Spain.
The presentation will focus on access to cash throughout Spain and, based on the socio-demographic characteristics, the level of exposure to the risk of cash-related exclusion of Spanish citizens in different regions.
